Skateboarding is so hot right now!

This is Kilian Martin, and he takes a fantastically artistic approach to his skateboarding (which I massively applaud him for). Here are a few of his most prolific videos:

This video is great and makes allot of sense (not just because Mr. Martin is a rather handsome fellow), but because its great for talents to be appreciated by a completely different audience and allowed to flourish in a new context.

It makes me appreciate the value of concentrating your energies on doing something unique and not following the crowd. For those who don't follow skateboarding, freestyle skateboarding has always been respected, but hugely overshadowed by someone switch heel-flipping 20 million gaps in a row like a robot, so its nice to see an artist persevering in his niche and getting his due recognition.
