In AnotherMan, Tom Ford laid out the guidelines for being the perfect modern gentleman, and I couldn't agree with him more...

This video is great and makes allot of sense (not just because Mr. Martin is a rather handsome fellow), but because its great for talents to be appreciated by a completely different audience and allowed to flourish in a new context.

It makes me appreciate the value of concentrating your energies on doing something unique and not following the crowd. For those who don't follow skateboarding, freestyle skateboarding has always been respected, but hugely overshadowed by someone switch heel-flipping 20 million gaps in a row like a robot, so its nice to see an artist persevering in his niche and getting his due recognition.

I was fortunate enough to work with the lovely Hannah Ter Meulen a little while ago on designing some shoes for her wonderful graduate collection for MA menswear at the RCA inspired by none other than the protagonist of one of my favorite books; American Psycho.

They even made it into Another Man magazine:

Hannah is taking over the world somewhere at the moment but I look forward to working together again in the future.

This means that they can no longer afford to maintain their high flying lifestyle, and this is causing severe depression, which seems to be manifesting itself in exhasperated hand-to-face gestures.

I have fallen for the slipper since I picked up a few pairs in china for around five pounds Stirling each. They are wonderfuly comfortable, understated and cheap. I then stumbled across these velvet slippers by Shipton and Heneage, and realised understated is over-rated.

I would love to have these in my life.
